Characteristics

Krios beach is located approximately 10 km west of Paleochora.
It is a quiet and the most western beach of the area.

Krios consists of two adjacent coves.
The western part of Krios is not organised and mostly rocky, open to the south winds but more protected to the west winds.
It is more secluded and preferred by naturists and campers.
The eastern cove is a well organised beach.
Krios beach might be a good solution when there are western winds blowing in the area. Maybe not 🙂

From Krios starts the E4 path to the beach of the ancient town of Vienna or Krios Lake beach which takes around 20 – 30 minutes and is an easy one.
The path leads all the way to Kedrodassos and Elafonissi beaches.
The hike is beautiful and realtively easy.
It takes around 3 and 4 hours to reach the above beaches, respectively.

Facilities

The east cove in Krios is organised offering umbrellas, sunbeds, car parking, showers and a wonderful canteen.
